The patient went to the Second Assiliated Hospital of Jiangxi Medical College on May 4, 2004, because of cough, expectoration，emaciation and low fever. He was diagnosed as central type pulmonary carcinoma of left lung which pathological diagnosis was squamous cell carcinoma. He didn’t received operation, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Then the patient went to our hospital on May 16, 2004. Physical examination: Temperature 36.7℃, blood pressure 120/76 mmHg. General state of health is fine. Respiratory sound of left lung was weak. Heart rate was 80 per minute and cardiac rhythm was regular. The heart examination showed a II/III systolic murmur at the bicuspid valve region. Abdomen was soft. Liver and spleen was untouched. Limbs and vertebral column was normal.

Laboratory examination: Blood routine and biochemistry examination were normal. B-type ultrasonography of abdomen showed no abnormalities of liver, gallbladder, spleen and kidney. ECG was normal.

Treatment: therapy of taking the Calm Lung Particles of Seven Fritillaria which is a pure Chinese materia medica preparation orally.

The CT examination which checked from 2005 to April 10, 2007, showed that pleural membrane of metastethidium was a little thick and posterior base segment of lefe lower lung had organized nodus. It also showed that mediastinum expanded and the lymph nodus disappeared. He kept on taking the Calm Lung Particles of Seven Fritillaria orally.

The patient rechecked CT examination on February 14, 2008, which showed there were no tumors could be seen after treating the left lung cancer. Then he took the half dose of the Calm Lung Particles of Seven Fritillaria orally for after treatment.

This patient has pleasant personality and love travelling. Every spring or winter he would have a tour like normal person and don’t feel tired after walking uphill.
